It was more expensive than I think it needed to be, but considering the prices charged for similar items, it's probably not UNUSUALLY expensive. This coat rack held several heavy winter coats at a time with no problems, so... I'm pleased with it. Easy and clear instructions. GOOD: Sturdy and attractive stand. Flat black finish goes with any decor. Umbrellas will tend to lean to the corner of the stand making them easy to retrieve. All coat hooks are blunt ends or rounded bars. BAD: Made in China. Who knows what toxins could be lurking? I'm very satisfied with the item and would recommend it to others.
